For Robert and Gloria Rybarczyk, it feels like it was only yesterday when they opened the Coldwell Banker Wausau office. However, it was nearly four decades ago when the husband and wife team, along with partners Jerry and Linda Frale started a humble, yet successful real estate agency. In 1970, the Rybarczyk’s opened the Wausau office which was located at 1506 North Sixth Street and later moved to 915 Grand Avenue in Schofield. Then, in 1973 the agency moved its office to 928 Grand Avenue in response to continued success and growth. During this time, the agency employed seven agents and two administrative staff members all located within one-quarter of the 4,000 square foot building. Eventually outgrowing that office space, Coldwell Banker Action Realty later expanded into the remaining 3,000 square feet. For the next 33 years, the Coldwell Banker Action Realty team continued its booming growth from that location. Following in the footsteps of his parents, Rob Rybarczyk started his real estate career as an agent in 1984. In 1990 he began managing the agency, and in 1997, he and wife, Kris, purchased the agency from Robert and Gloria. And although the original Rybarczyk team may not be managing the agency today, they are still carrying on the agency’s tradition of creating highly satisfied clients. In April of 2006, the agency moved into its newly constructed 7,000 square foot building addition, bringing the building to a total of 11,000 total square feet. In addition to this agency milestone event, 2006 also marked the 100th anniversary for Coldwell Banker International. In June of 2010, the agency opened a new branch office in Merrill located at 2808 E. Main Street with Full and Part Time agents available to assist you. Today, Coldwell Banker Action Realty is the largest real estate office in Marathon County, employs the most number of agents in one office, and offers the area’s only licensed and accredited real estate school. |
